Q. What is Ionization?

Ionization is the process of converting liquids or particles wholly or partly into ions. It simply means gaining or losing an electron. During Ionization, positive minerals and negative minerals are segregated accordingly to give you Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water and Acidic Water. Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water is full of Hydroxyl ions (OH-) and Acidic Water is full of Hydrogen ions (H+).

Q. What does Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water and Acidic Water mean?

Water (H20) ionizes into hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions. When these ions are in equal proportions, the pH is a neutral 7. When there are more H+ ions than OH- ions, then the water is said to be acidic. If OH- ions outnumber the H+ ions, then the water is alkaline.

Q. What is pH and why is a balanced body pH very vital for health?

PH is the quantitative measurement of acidity or alkalinity of a substance or solution. The pH scale is based on the number of hydrogen ions in the solution and runs from 0 to 14. Ordinary tap water with an equal amount of hydrogen ions and hydroxyl ions is measured as neutral or having a pH of 7. Acid solution is below pH7 while pH above that is alkaline.

The reason why pH is so important for health is that living cells are ultra-sensitive to any changes in pH. The pH of blood must be maintained within a very narrow range, from 7.35 to 7.45; variances in anything more than a few tenths will most likely result in death. Cancer cells live in an acidic environment while healthy cells in alkaline environment.

The acidic foods and beverages we consume daily affect the body's pH, so do the environment contaminants in the air we breathe and toxins that result from the agricultural practices. In fact, the pH balance in our diets is a largely overlooked issue in today's health, fitness, and our physical energy.

The proportion of acid minerals relative to alkaline minerals is the major factor we use to understand what is happening internally within our body. Body chemistry has a delicate range between pH 6.8 to 7.4 for proper maintenance of health. The pH range internally is necessary for the whole body to function well physically, emotionally, and mentally.

A person who has properly balanced pH will be happy, content, free from body aches and muscle cramps. They will enjoy being emotionally stable and mentally clear. The results are extraordinary because the tissues will exist in their natural and optimal alkaline environment, conducive for health.

Q. Can this really help cure sicknesses? E.g cancer, eczema, high blood pressure, gout,  etc.

We do NOT claim that this water will cure sicknesses. However, through clinical studies and endorsements, we do take the stand this water is able to improve medical conditions. However, there are various mitigating factors such as severity of condition, presence of medications, genetics as well as lifestyle habits.

Q. Why should I drink Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water?

Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water gives you an abundance of anti-oxidants to reduce cell damages and helps to restore your pH balance in your body.

It also contains an abundance of ionic minerals, such as Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium that are essential for cellular functions. The water is high in oxygen and is a powerful solvent to neutralize uric acids, cholesterol and acidic toxic wastes and flushes them out from the body. It hydrates your body 3 times more than any water and also helps to restore your body pH balance and gives you plenty of energy!

Q. Is it safe to drink alkaline water everyday? Can I be too alkaline?

Yes it is safe to drink alkaline water everyday and while it is possible to be too alkaline (only in controlled or laboratory settings), generally, our bodies tend towards acidity. Also, because the minerals are in ionic form, it means that our blood which is also the waste transport system will be able to quickly remove the excess alkaline minerals and regulate our body pH.

Q. Can I don’t have the acidic water but only the alkaline water?

There are only 2 ways to obtain alkaline water. The first way would be to obtain the water through ionization (electrolysis), which is the method that our ionizer uses. The second method would be to use chemical compounds to convert normal tap water into alkaline water.

This method however is harmful in the long run because bicarbonates will produce stones in the body. Also, it would seem somewhat contradictory to have a filter to remove out chemicals and sediments but at the end still introduce a chemical to make the water alkaline

Q. How do you obtain the alkaline water?

To obtain the alkaline water, our units use ONLY platinum coated, titanium plates, which are the finest materials to perform ionization and the newer series of models use the WIRE MESHED platinum-titanium electrodes that can produces over 20% better in terms of quality. Platinum-titanium are also the only materials that the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea endorse.

Q. What are Antioxidants and why do we need them?

Oxidation means to decay or age. It results from regular function of metabolism and cell function. In the human body, oxidation is caused by free radical damage. Free radicals that exist in our body grab an electron from one of our cells to become stable and in the process damage the DNA of the cell so that when it divides, the new cell carries the mutant DNA that in turn passes along to the next cell when it divides. This is the cause of many diseases and it is also part of what makes us age. As we age, our body’s ORP becomes higher because we are oxidizing.

Researchers almost universally blame oxidation for premature aging and degenerative diseases. Pollution, chemicals, food additives, pesticides, antibiotics, etc. are thought to dramatically accelerate the oxidation process, increasing the need for anti-oxidants. Many people are turning to supplements to increase the intake of anti-oxidants. However, the water you drink also contributes to the effect of the anti-oxidants supplements you take.

Q. Who should drink Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water?

Everyone, young and old, pets and animals, can drink Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water. It is safe for baby as well. The tremendous amount of oxygen in the water helps the baby’s body function efficiently. Treat it as your normal drinking water. The only difference is that this water helps to hydrate your body faster and gives you many health benefits and plenty of energy!

Q. How should I start drinking it?

We recommend that you start at Level 1 for about 2-4 weeks and gradually increase to Level 2, 3 or 4 according to your desire and health condition.

The strength of the Alkaline/Acidic water is stronger at the higher level. The antioxidant is most powerful on the higher levels as well. Detoxification can be STRONG at higher levels. Take your time to increase the strength gradually according to individual preference and health condition.

Q. What do I expect after starting to drink Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water?

It is possible that you will notice differences in bowel habits during the first few days at any level. Urine frequency may increase and color may darken as more water is consumed and impurities discharge from the body. If you have gastric or indigestion problems, you might encounter "bloated feeling" or "burp" frequently. You might want to go slower during the first few days and increase your intake gradually if the discomfort bothers you.

For those who have liver problems or on long-term medication, you might experience some skin rashes or outbreak. You might also encounter diarrhea during the first few days of drinking if you have serious constipation or abnormal fermentation in the intestine. This is the cleansing process and once it is over, you will feel better.

Q. How long can I store the Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water?

For best effect, try to drink directly from the machine. However, if you need to store the water, try to collect the water daily to maximize the benefits derived from the Alkaline Ionized Water.  There is no harm storing the water for many days. Treat it like what you do for your normal water.

Q. What is the best way to store Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water?

We recommend usage of capped plastic or glass bottles. Always rinse your container with Acidic Water to disinfect the bottles before storing the water. This is hygienic and helps to restore the molecular structure and pH better.

After some time, if you find some flakes deposit at the side of your bottles, please do not worry. They are calcium flakes. You can either soak the container with Acidic water or vinegar to remove them.

Q. Are there any side effects of drinking too much Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water at high pH10 and above?

People have been known to drink as much as 1 to 2 gallons of Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water every day and have benefited greatly from it. And they have not become too alkaline. On the contrary, one of the most common imbalances people have today that lead to health problems is that they are too acidic. Our body pH should be approx. pH 6.8 - 7.8 (measured through Saliva). A lower body pH creates an environment in our bodies that is conducive to sickness. Blood pH is maintained within a narrow, from 7.35 to7.45; variances in anything more than a few tenths will most likely result in death. Cancer cells live in acidic environment whereas Healthy cells live in alkaline environment.

About Acidic Ionized Water

Q. What is the Acidic Water good for?

The Acidic Water is Super-Oxidation water. It kills bacteria and viruses on contact. It helps to heal skin diseases such as Eczema, Hong Kong Foot, Wounds, Cuts, etc. And for any sterilization purpose.

With a mild pH that is close to the skin, it is very effective as a skin toner and also for hair conditioning. Regular usage improves skin texture and also stops dandruff.

Q. What Is the JUPITER Water Ionizer?

JUPITER water ionizers are a 2-in-1 Water Purifier & Ionizer. It purifies tap water and then ionizes it through the electrolysis chamber by removing acidic mineral salts and enhancing it with beneficial alkaline ionized minerals.  

Q. How Does JUPITER Work?
 

Tap water is first purified and energized through the specially designed 0.01 micron filter. The filter materials consist of Silverized Activated Carbon, Coral Calcium, Tourmaline (Bio-Ceramic stones) and Space Fibre the produces Far Infrared (FIR) energy. The filtration effectively removes bacteria, chlorine, chloramine, rust, sediments, heavy metals, harmful chemicals and substances from the source water.  The Tourmaline and Space Fibre further activates and energizes the filtered water.

The purified, activated and energized water then passes through another process called "Ionization" that further splits the water into Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water for Drinking and Acidic Water for Beauty & Medical uses.

Q. What are the electrodes made of?

JUPITER uses 5 pieces of electrodes that are made of 100% platinum-coated titanium electrodes. Each platinum coating is 0.53 micron.

Q. How does JUPITER Water Ionizer kill viruses and bacteria?

Firstly, viruses and bacteria are filtered and impregnated in the silverised activated carbon filter compartment. Through Ionization, the bacteria and viruses are further eliminated and finally they are not able to survive in the abundance negative-charged ions Alkaline Ionized Antioxidant Water. Q. How much electricity does this unit use?

The unit uses 80 watts during operation while ionizing water. On a standby mode, it uses far less electricity. On a cost basis, if the unit is left on for 24 hours, it’ll cost a maximum of $0.30 per month.

Q.  Are bigger electrode plates more efficient?

With technology moving towards miniaturization, JUPITER uses compact water cell with proprietary matting electrodes that enhances ionization.  This technology also reduces power consumption.  Bigger plates need more power. They are used in older water ionizers and are currently used by Taiwan and China manufacturers.

Q. Is SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) technology more superior than Transformers?

Established Japanese and Korean manufacturers use transformer for stability during ionization. SMPS technology is normally used in Taiwanese water ionizers.

Q. Is this product endorsed by anyone?

This product is endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Korea as well as in Japan. It has also obtained the FDA and health approval in the US, Korea, China.

Locally, we have sent the sample of water for testing in SGH and the results been found to be well above the national standards.

Q. What’s the warranty period and after sales service like?

For all units, we provide a 2-year warranty period that will cover all machine parts that are used in conjunction with standard intended usage. We however do NOT cover external joints and consumables.

Should there be any problem with your unit, please feel free to contact our staff at our hotline: 6272-5337. We will arrange for our technicians to go to your place to fix or service your unit on-site. There will be charges for labour and transport. Separate charges apply if there is a need to change any parts that the technician advises.

Q. Installation wise, what are the requirements?

For simple installation, we provide a standard tap diverter and other adaptors (18, 22 and 24mm) that can be mounted onto existing standard faucets. Should such installation be deemed unsuitable by our technicians, we would recommend a direct installation instead.

For a direct installation to the water piping, our technician will have to do some works under the sink as well as drill a hole through the table top to connect the water supply to the unit. Thus, typical charges for this installation range between $80 - $100.

Q. Pricing of the systems and any discounts for the system?

Q. Maintenance of the system? What do I have to do?

Maintenance of the unit includes an annual change of the water filter or after filtering 6000L of water. There is a gauge which will prompt customers when to change this.

Besides this, customers are encouraged to perform manual selection of the acidic function regularly to allow alternating of the self-cleaning device to keep the unit in its optimum condition.

Q. How long can the filter last and how much is it?

Our filters will be able to last for up to a year and it will be able to filter up to 6000L of water. Additionally, our filters use hi tech space fiber to allow up to a 0.01micron filtration, uncommon in the filter market. Each filter currently cost $120 and we will send our personnel to help change your filters for your convenience.

Other miscellaneous questions

Q. Is filtered water/treated water with high pH any good?

It is dangerous to conclude that any filtered water or treated water with a high pH is a good for you. You can add Potassium Cyanide into water to raise the pH, but that alkaline water would obviously be fatal. You have to drink only Acid-Free Alkaline Water obtainable through Ionization that removes acid minerals that removes acid minerals and enhancing alkaline minerals that were in the source water to be able to enjoy the benefits. Not just any high pH filtered or treated water. This is the ONLY water system that is endorsed by the Ministry of Health & Welfare in Japan (since 1960's) and Korea (since 1970's) as a Health Improvement Device.

Q. How do I know if alkaline water is really safe to drink? Isn’t it bleach?

Obtaining alkaline water through ionization is not a new process, it has in fact been around since the 1930s and over an extended period of time, coupled with numerous clinical studies has been found to have significantly improve people’s general health and medical conditions, thus to date, it is the only technology that the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea endorses.

Bleach is a chemical alkaline and is not the same as our alkaline water.

Q. Can Water Filter with a UV kills viruses and bacteria totally?

The purpose of UV light is for bacterial disinfecting. UV light itself loses much of its effectiveness after the first 6 months of usage and should be replaced often, which is of course an expensive proposition. Also, the glass tube that the water travels through in order that it can be exposed to the UV light develops a film on it after only a few months, which greatly lessens the effectiveness of the UV light on the water that passes through the tube. Most manufacturing industries use SLOW running water with LONG UV tubes, so it is questionable as to how effective a SMALL UV tube over faster running water is? This is not logical. Do not just invest in a filter system because it has UV but neglect the importance of the quality of water you are drinking daily which contributes greatly to your health and your loved ones!

Point to note: For the UV tube to be effective in killing bacteria it should be lighted up for a few minutes before water passes through.

Q. What’s the difference between Diamond and your system?

Most systems in the market are mostly just a filtration or purification system. Regardless of the number of filters that are present, they will only produce clean, filtered water at the end of the process. They do not have the ability to produce mineral-enriched alkaline water unlike JUPITER™ water ionizers.

Q. How does JUPITER Water Ionizer compared to Reverse Osmosis, Distillers and other Filtering or Energizing Water available in the market?

Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapor condensed. Reverse Osmosis uses membranes in its system. Both systems remove all dissolved minerals and produces pure water that tends to be acidic. Pure water does not have electrolytes that are important for cellular functions. Prolonged drinking of these 2 types of water leach mineral salts from the body and eventually develops multiple mineral deficiencies. Cooking foods in pure water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value.

Carbon Filters or Energizing Water Filters are basically water filters. Some systems come with few types of cartridges. Filters cannot kill bacteria or viruses so it is recommended that you boil the water before drinking.

Point to note: Filter cannot perform ionization and it cannot split tap water into alkaline ionized minerals and acidic ionized minerals.

The Ideal Water for the human body should contain essential minerals and electrolytes that are vital for cellular functions.
